We got back from Washington D.C. late at night on the train and subway, so we were exhausted by the time we walked in the door to our apartment. Lucky for us, Jude's parents had already arrived (they are staying with us to visit Ruby) a few days before and Noelle (my mother-in-law) had a delicious dinner waiting for us. She made a sweet and sour cabbage soup with sausage. She said she pulled the recipe out of the newspaper years ago and had never tried it. It was delicious! And soups are always a great thing to make on a weekend and have leftovers for weekday lunches (just make sure you have really good containers that won't leak if you're bringing it to work).
